What Wonders There Are
Who we are
As Little Coracles, we believe pilgrimage is more than just a journey to a sacred place out in the world, somewhere God has been known to dwell; it is a spiritual path that leads within, to where God dwells in us and at the heart of all things. We go on pilgrimage to practice being in such “thin places” where the veil between the sacred and the ordinary is almost transparent, where the lived experience of God’s presence in creation and community invites transformation.
Jenny and Jennifer have been sharing the Christian practice of pilgrimage since 2016. Our path as pilgrimage guides began on the windswept shores of Iona, Scotland, where St. Columba’s little coracle (a small, simple boat) carried him from his home in Ireland across the wilderness of the sea. Since then, our pilgrimage offerings have expanded to include the wild costs of Donegal and County Ireland, and soon, the ancient paths of the Portuguese Camino.
At the wild edges of life, literally and spiritually, we leave the familiar behind and find ourselves open to where awe and beauty pull us into deeper connection with God and with one another. We travel not as tourists but as fellow seekers and followers of the Holy Spirit at work in the world. It is our hope that on pilgrimage you may discover the thin places within yourself where the Holy Spirit is at work in you and inviting you to a richer and fuller life of faith.
